Fallout 76 Army Men

Throughout my years of going to conventions I’ve seen a lot of Fallout merch but outside of Vault Boy bobbleheads I haven’t noticed many Fallout Toys. It looks like emce toys and toynk have taken note of the same thing and started releasing sets of army men style Fallout Figures. They were nice enough to send me a sample of the first collection featuring figures based on perks and items from the game.

I set these around the yard and had some fun taking pictures. After all the effort some people put into toy photography, with highly articulated figures and after effects, it was funny to just have some non-poseable toys with a video game twist. The package contains six different versions of Vault Boy and the first one I pulled out of the bag was the strongman.

While Strongman is funny, my favorite versions of Vault Boy are Reaper and Drinker. The smile on Reaper mixed with the scythe and briefcase made me laugh out loud and the Drinker just has so much potential for photos with booze. The set also comes with Vault Boy Scientist, Soldier, and Leprechaun, but again, these two are my favorites.

I just might leave Reaper in the garden as a warning to the squirrels

Though the figures are from Fallout 76, you don’t need to have played that specific game to enjoy these. There are plenty of references to the series, like the Nuka Cola bottle and Thirst Zapper. I’m surprised there’s no Nuka Cola bottle cap though, considering it’s so popular in the game the characters use it as currency.

The mini nuke is another cool artifact. I found a nook where it looks like some kind of hidden treasure.

I know Fallout has post-apocalyptic imagery but I live in Seattle and it’s December so my figures have a green setting

I’m glad this next artifact is included in the set because it’s become my favorite, Jangles the Moon Monkey!

I love the idea of kids picking up this monkey in a spacesuit and giving him his own rich backstory. In the series, Jangles is just a doll you can pick up and use for scrap but I think this little throwaway character is such a good idea and I’m so glad he has his own figure. Now if only he had his own cartoon show and breakfast cereal.

Don’t worry, Jangles, I’ll never scrap you

The other artifacts and Vault Boys are pictured below. I hope you like what you’ve seen and if you’re a Fallout fan I imagine you’d love decorating your home or office space with these figures. You can get them now and pre-order more at toynk!

I’d like to give a huge thanks to Sarah at Toynk for reaching out and offering me this set! I’m extremely happy with these and am just so thankful she thought to ask me if I’d like a sample.

I’ll be back next week with my Top 5 toys of the year countdown. See you then, and Happy Holidays!
